Louise graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communications, specialising in Photography. She grew up in Orkney and has had a interest in art since a young age. After completion of a course in Portfolio Preparation at the Orkney College in 2007 Louise had an exhibition of her photography at The Reel in Kirkwall, Orkney and in 2008 she won a photography competition run by Young Scott and her photos were hung at a gallery in the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness.
Most recently, Louise has been commissioned to take promotional photos for various artists including multi award-winning folk band Lau, 2009 Young Traditional Musician of the Year Ruairidh MacMillan, The Paul McKenna Band, singer Rachel Sermanni (who Louise sometimes plays fiddle with), accordionist Mairearad Green, award winning singer and fiddle player Bella Hardy, clarsach duo The Duplets and singer and mandolin player Laura-Beth Salter. She has also designed and put together album artwork for the likes of Danny Kyle Open Stage winners Rura, Kris Drever and Éamonn Coyne, the Scott Wood Trio, Twelfth Day and Joy Dunlop and fiddlers Mike Vass and 2010 Young Trad Musician of the Year, Dan Thorpe.
